Our focus at Barger Chiropractic of Folsom is to actively help you and your family in taking responsibility for your health, wellness, and disease management. We believe in the value of wellness care for you and your family. Barger Chiropractic is a preferred provider for many HMO and PPO plans including Hill Physicians, American Specialties Health and Kaiser, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Landmark, and Medicare. We also accept auto accident and personal injury cases. We offer a significant discount for patients who do not have insurance to make our chiropractic care cost-effective and affordable to every patient.

CASH
If you have no insurance or do not have chiropractic benefits there is still a way for you to receive the care you need: We accept cash, VISA, MasterCard and personal checks (with valid ID). AND our prices include a 25% discount for paying at the time of service.
* The cash rate for the initial visit is $75-85 and includes an initial history, full exam, and treatment.
* Follow up visits are $45 - $65 depending on whether or not your condition requires physiotherapy or soft tissue work.
Payment is due at the time of service unless arrangements were made in writing with us prior to treatment.
INSURANCE
Most insurance plans are accepted at our office. But, since there are so many plans and coverage varies widely, please call us to find out if your plan covers care in our office. Our staff can verify many of the plans and explain your benefits before treatment. HOWEVER, verification of insurance is not a guarantee of coverage, which means your insurance plan may tell us/you that you have chiropractic coverage, but other factors (often found out after the fact) can influence reimbursement to our office such as deductibles, coverage lapse, and non-covered procedures. You are responsible for any balance left over after insurance payments are applied to your account, unless other arrangements were made with us prior to treatment.
If your insurance coverage is not verified at the time of your arrival, you may be required to pay out of pocket for your initial visit, and we can print out a statement that you can submit to your insurance company to get reimbursed (upon your request). The cash discount described above would also apply. Optionally, if your treatment requires additional visits and it is later determined that you have some chiropractic coverage, your initial payment can be applied to your copayments for those future visits.
AUTO ACCIDENTS/PERSONAL INJURY
If you are coming in for treatment related to a recent car accident, your primary insurance is your (or the owner/driver of the car you were in) auto policy’s Medical Payments Coverage, if it is available. Many group health plans do not cover auto accident-related injuries if Med Pay insurance is available. If this applies to you, please provide us with your auto policy’s information including: your claim number, accident date, and claims adjustor’s phone number and extension so we can verify coverage. **Please note: if you were not at fault, using Med Pay coverage should not cause your insurance premiums to go up. You can confirm this yourself by calling the Department of Insurance help line at (800) 927-4357.
Please be advised: This office does not bill 3rd party insurance. If you are coming in for treatment related to a car accident or other personal injury and were told a 3rd party insurance (the at-fault party’s insurance) would pay for your care, you are still required to pay at the time of service unless you provide us with a verified auto Med Pay policy (see #4 above). Once you pay, we can provide you with a statement of your account that you can use to get reimbursed by the 3rd party insurance.
On some occasions, at the doctor’s discretion, we may agree to treat you on a personal injury lien, whereby you don’t pay until your case settles, and your medical bills are taken out of your award. This requires that you get a qualified personal injury attorney who meets our approval.

At Barger Chiropractic we are convinced that a small amount of your time and money to care for your most important asset--your health--will be far less expensive and time-consuming than trying to recover it.
