Payment Options

Barger Chiropractic of Folsom focuses on helping you and your family take responsibility for your own health and wellness management. We believe your true health care has value to you and your family. Barger Chiropractic of Folsom is a preferred provider for many PPO and HMO plans, including Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Aetna and Hill Physicians Medical Group. We also accept Auto Accident and Personal injury cases. For our patients who do not have Chiropractic coverage on their insurance, we offer a significant discount to make our chiropractic care affordable AND cost-effective for everyone.

CASH

If you do not have insurance or your insurance does not have a chiropractic benefit, there is still a way for you to afford great chiropractic care! We accept VISA, Mastercard, cash and personal checks (with valid ID). AND our prices include a discount up to 35% for paying at the time of service. Cost of the initial visit is $75-90 and includes an initial history, full exam and any treatment (Full value of $150-180.) Follow-up visits are $45-65 depending on whether you need additional therapies or soft tissue work. Payment is due at the time of service unless arrangements were made in writing prior to treatment.

INSURANCE

Barger Chiropractic of Folsom accepts many insurance plans, but because there are so many plans and types of coverage, please feel free to call us to find out if your plan covers your care in our office. We can verify most of the plans and explain benefits and specifics before treatment. HOWEVER, our verification of YOUR benefits is not a guarantee of coverage, which means your insurance may tell us you have coverage but other factors (ofter found out AFTER the fact) can influence payment to our office, such as deductibles, lapses in coverages and non-covered procedures. You are responsible for any balance remaining after insurance payments have been applied to your account, unless other arrangements were made with our office prior to treatment.

If you insurance cannot be verified at the time of your arrival, you may be required to pay out-of-pocket for your initial visit and we will gladly print out a billing form for you to submit to your insurance company or Health Savings Account (upon your request). The cash discount, described above, would be applied as a courtesy to you. You may also choose to have the initial payment applied to any additional visit co-payments if coverage can be verified later on.

AUTO ACCIDENTS/PERSONAL INJURY

If you are coming to our office for treatment for a recent car accident, your primary insurance should be your own Auto Insurance Medical Payments Coverage, if you have that coverage. You need to be aware that many group health plans (HMOs and PPOs) do NOT cover auto accident injuries, and auto insurance may not pay if you have medical insurance.

We can verify coverage with your auto insurance when you come in for your first visit. You need to provide us with: auto policy information, including claim number, accident date and claims’ adjustor phone number and extension. **PLEASE NOTE: if you were not at fault, using your MedPay coverage should not make your premiums go up. You can verify this yourself by calling the Department of Insurance helpline at 1-800-927-4357.

PLEASE BE ADVISED!! This office does NOT bill third-party insurance. If you had an injury from a car accident or other accident and were told the other person’s insurance would pay for your treatments, you still must pay at the time of service. A receipt and/or a bill can be provided to you to get reimbursed by the 3rd party insurance. We cannot bill them for you.

In some instances, we may agree to treat your personal injury through an approved, qualified personal injury attorney. This means you do not pay until your case settles and your bills are paid through you settlement award.
